This pharmaceutical composition uses tocotrienol, an anti-inflammatory compound, to protect cartilage and reduce joint inflammation, potentially preventing osteoarthritis progression. In trials with rats, it was shown to lower cartilage markers and protect against deterioration. The formulation could be marketed as a daily nutraceutical for the elderly, requiring only two softgels to reduce osteoarthritis risk. Tocotrienol can be sourced sustainably from palm and annatto plants. The solution aims to improve the quality of life for elderly individuals suffering from joint pain.
