UQ researchers have developed an HVP-enabled ore pre-concentration technique that selectively breaks high-grade particles, allowing separation into high and low-grade streams. This novel method, integrated with a continuous operation device, increases circuit capacity, reduces ore wastage and comminution energy requirements, and cuts ore haulage costs. It marks a significant advancement in the mining and minerals industry, addressing challenges of declining ore grades and increasing ore competence.
