Researchers at IIT Delhi have developed a non-invasive, time-efficient, and patient-friendly diagnostic tool for detecting epileptogenic zones in the brain. Using EEG data, the proposed Brain Source Localization (BSL) framework with head harmonics algorithms can pinpoint seizure origins within minutes. Applications include aiding clinicians in automated, quick, and accurate seizure localization, enhancing patient comfort compared to traditional methods. The framework has been validated on clinical EEG data, offering an effective solution for epilepsy diagnosis. This innovation provides a significant breakthrough in the comfort and efficiency of epilepsy treatment.
