This technology introduces a nickel-rich cathode material (NCM) for lithium-ion batteries (LIBs), designed to enhance electric vehicle performance. It involves a novel preparation method that results in a structurally stable NCM, offering better cycling stability and higher rate capability than conventional materials. The three-dimensional functional network on the material improves ion and electron transport, significantly boosting battery efficiency. This advancement allows electric vehicles to have batteries that charge faster and last longer, addressing a major limitation of current LIBs. It promises a leap forward in electric vehicle technology by providing stable, high-performing cathode materials.
