Antibody Nanoparticle Delivery System for Drug Delivery or Imaging
Tags: Monash University, Australia, Healthcare & Lifesciences, Science & Exploration
This technology involves a one-pot synthesis method for creating antibody-decorated metal-organic framework (MOF) nanoparticles for targeted drug delivery and diagnostic imaging. By assembling a zinc-based MOF on the Fc region of antibodies, the antigen-binding Fab regions remain oriented away from the MOF surface, preserving their specificity. This platform offers flexible applications in carrying high payloads of pharmaceuticals or contrast agents, applicable in cancer therapy and diagnostic imaging. It represents a significant advancement in the field of nanomedicine, offering a cost-effective and rapid approach to personalized medicine.
