A flame-retardant composition has been developed for treating sisal yarn, enhancing its fire resistance while maintaining high tensile strength. The formulation includes polymers and acids in a specific ratio, creating a self-extinguishing, low-chemical-load rope suitable for load-bearing applications. The mechano-chemical braided structure ensures minimal char length and high limiting oxygen index (LOI) values. Applications include fire safety operations, marine industries, military uses, and packaging. The composition and treated material have been developed and extensively tested in a laboratory environment.
