This technology produces water-soluble elastin peptide powder from poultry skin, offering an affordable, Halal source of elastin with antioxidative and antihypertensive properties. The powder has applications in functional foods, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, and regenerative medicine. The extraction process is non-enzymatic, low-cost, and yields high-purity elastin comparable to existing bovine-sourced products. Its use has demonstrated compatibility in anti-aging cosmetics and tissue engineering. This technology also provides a sustainable alternative to current elastin sources, which are often non-Halal.
