A non-toxic, eco-friendly insect repellent and antibacterial solution has been developed for textiles using green chemicals derived from waste lignocellulosic biomass. Unlike conventional chemical repellents, this solution is safe, cost-effective, and provides long-lasting protection without harmful side effects. It offers 87% mosquito repellence efficiency and can be embedded at the molecular level into fabrics for durable performance. Applications include protective clothing, mosquito nets, medical gear, and surface treatments like paints and sprays. A functional prototype has been developed and successfully validated.
