KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital (KKH) has launched collaborative research with PacBio and Takeda Global to advance diagnostics and treatments for rare pediatric diseases. Using PacBio’s HiFi long-read sequencing, KKH aims to identify genetic variants in unresolved neurodevelopmental disorders, enhancing diagnosis and management. A second study with Takeda will leverage Cliniface 3D facial analytics to detect variants linked to hereditary angioedema (HAE), in partnership with hospitals across the Asia-Pacific. These initiatives aim to improve targeted therapies and outcomes for children with genetic conditions. The partnerships reflect a commitment to collaborative genetic research impacting over 300 million people worldwide.
