It enables these vaccines to induce both CD8 and CD4 T cell responses along with antibody immunity, making it suitable for viral and cancer vaccines requiring strong cellular immunity. The adjuvant addresses the limitations of current options, which are generally weak in inducing CD8 T cell responses.
