A system has been developed for polymerizing inherently conducting monomers onto fabrics, enhancing their electro-conductive properties. This process involves coating the fabric with an oxidant solution and applying a constant voltage across it, leading to improved polymer deposition. The resulting fabric is flexible, non-metallic, and suitable for various smart textile applications. Applications include textile-based electromagnetic shielding, heating pads, gas sensors, moisture sensors, and temperature sensors. The manufacturing process has been optimized and validated at the laboratory level.
