This innovative postharvest technology enhances the storage longevity and quality of atemoya fruits, allowing for an extended storage life of 3-4 weeks and successful exports to markets like Malaysia, Dubai, and Canada. By integrating methods to reduce field pathogen infections, improve precooling efficiency, and utilize controlled atmosphere transport, it addresses the challenge of atemoya's short postharvest life and sensitivity to chilling. The technology ensures over 90% salability upon arrival, with a 5-7 day shelf life, providing a solution to diversify export markets beyond mainland China. This breakthrough offers a strategic advantage over traditional air freight methods, potentially transforming atemoya's international market presence.
