Energy Recovery System for Discarded Lithium-Ion Batteries
Energy Recycling System And Method For Discarded Lithium-ion Batteries
Tags: National Cheng Kung University, Taiwan, Energy & Environment
This technology introduces a power recovery system that efficiently extracts residual energy from discarded lithium-ion batteries using a two-stage discharge process. It transfers energy from used batteries to supercapacitors and then to another energy storage device, enabling the recovery of remaining power before recycling the batteries. Applications include waste treatment and energy storage industries, reducing energy waste and optimizing battery disposal. The system enhances energy efficiency by utilizing power from batteries that would otherwise be discarded.
