The Hong Kong Metropolitan University (HKMU) launched the Jockey Club STEAM (Science, Tech, Engineering, Arts, Maths) Education Resources Sharing Scheme, funded by a HK$37.73 million donation from The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust, to advance STEAM education in secondary schools. This initiative has engaged around 70 secondary schools, offering resources, workshops for teachers, and specialized learning modules that fit within local curricula. The scheme also includes an annual STEAM Education Symposium, which gathers educators and technology experts to share insights, and an online portal providing digital resources and training information. Specialized laboratories equipped with VR technology, wireless equipment, and experimental facilities further support hands-on learning experiences for students. The project aims to enhance multiple intelligences through a robust, integrated approach to STEAM education in Hong Kong.
