Embedded Solar-Wind System for Reliable Remote Telecom Power
Design and Implementation of Embedded Controller-Based Energy Storage and Management System for Remote Telecom
Tags: Universiti Malaya, Malaysia, Energy & Environment
This technology presents an embedded controller-based energy storage and management system for remote telecom applications, utilizing renewable energy sources like solar and wind. The system integrates a Cuk-Luo DC-DC converter to efficiently manage and store power from these hybrid energy sources. It is modeled using MATLAB/Simulink and tested under various solar-wind combinations to ensure stable, uninterrupted power supply. The energy management system improves efficiency, crucial for telecom towers in isolated regions. Applications include powering telecom infrastructure in remote, off-grid areas using renewable energy.
