Monash University has developed a soundless chemical demolition agent (SCDA) for efficient mineral extraction in underwater and saturated environments. This SCDA formulation avoids rock crushing, saving energy and ensuring expansion pressure and fluidity for in situ operations. It enables rapid pressure generation under submerged conditions, allowing mineral extraction directly from the mine. The technology is environmentally friendly and operates effectively underwater or in saturated rock conditions.
