CSIR-Central Mechanical Engineering Research Institute [CSIR-CMERI]: This technology is a tractor PTO (Power Take-Off) operated leaf collector and shredding machine designed for efficiently collecting and shredding dry leaves from roads and grounds. The machine features a novel design that allows simultaneous leaf collection and shredding, operating in both forward and reverse motion of the tractor. It includes an adjustable suction duct for varying ground clearance and a double strainer design to minimize dust and chip release. The machine is capable of achieving up to 70% volume compaction of the collected leaves and can be operated with tractors of 25 hp and above, covering 1.2 meters in a single pass.
