The shoe's lightweight aluminum shell provides support, while an integrated sensor alerts patients if they exceed the recommended weight on their foot. It aids in wound healing by allowing early mobilization, preventing joint stiffness, and providing stability. Once healing is complete, the shoe can function as a regular shoe. Its application is primarily for orthopedic patients recovering from ankle injuries or surgeries.
