A Pan-Australian High Speed, Secure Communication System
Optical Satellite Communication Ground Station Network
Tags: Australian National University, Australia, Science & Exploration, Computing Technology
ANU is developing an optical communications ground station for satellite communications with higher speed and security than RF systems. This ground station will enable communication with satellites across LEO, GEO, and lunar distances, utilizing optical lasers for long-distance, interference-free transmission. Applications include laser/quantum communication and secure satellite data relay. The project aims to create an Australasian Network to ensure high communication availability. ANU seeks partners and investors to expand this cutting-edge technology.
